Quality Interactions and Creativity (QIC) is a community interest company (CIC) that works with young people and young adults from diverse backgrounds, to support vulnerable and at risk young people with their emotional wellbeing.

We work with vulnerable children and young people in early years, primary and secondary schools (key stage 1 - 5) PRU's, alternative provisions and FE.

Our Mission

To support our most at risk groups, support their emotional wellbeing, raise their self-esteem and create positive, empowered children and young people.

To train young people and adults, to support vulnerable and at risk young people.

Our Vision is to:

support at risk children and young people's emotional wellbeing

to develop their communication & interactive skills.

raise the self-esteem & self-value of children and young people.

to enable young people to reengage with learning & build their problem solving through quality interactions.

Develop role models, leaders and facilitators.

What We Believe:

At risk children and young people can overcome their social/emotional barriers to learning. That with quality interactions, children and young people can thrive and find their way in the world. Young people have the capacity to be inspirational role models, entrepreneurial and future leaders.

Outcomes and Impact

By the end of our programmes, the young people will have developed:

  • New strategies to manage anxiety and stress

  • A solution focused approach to challenges

  • An ownership of their choices and a transparent understanding, of the impact and outcome of their decisions.

  • Improved behaviour and learning habits

  • A clear understanding of their emotional and social needs

  • The ability to identify the personal barriers to learning

Feedback

Patricia Woodhall,

Learning Mentor, Dalmain Primary School

‘The children were really engaged with the team. The children were focused throughout and visibly enjoying the activities. The children involved, were dealing with a range of issues: abandonment, bereavement, ASD, bullying, trust and relationship issues. The children listened well and responded quickly, which was unusual for some of them.

The children enjoyed the session very much.’

Nick Simms, Assistant Headteacher,

The King Alfred Federation

‘The adults quickly built a good report with the children and were able to communicate effectively. Talmud’s communication was really good in the organisation of the event. The team were professional and friendly. From the outset, the children were really engaged in the activities and wanted to take part. They got a lot out of the session and asked when the next one was. The children who took part faced a wide range of challenges including, difficult home lives, ability to focus in class, the ability to be respectful to all people they come across, maintaining peer relationships, making the right decisions, levels of resilience. The children enjoyed the session and definitely took useful strategies and ideas away that hopefully they will use in and out of school.’
